Can you believe it is almost March? February seems to have flown right on by. Before you know it, the spring will be here! Us Insurance Bloggers always look forward to a new season. A new season and change in weather means a whole new world of blog topics to tackle.

This week, we have 10 ideas to get you started. These ideas may even help you spark your own creativity!

#1: March is National Nutrition Month. Who doesn’t enjoy a blog post about healthy living and eating? You can blog about the top 10 foods that will improve health or choose to discuss the importance of vitamins and minerals. Whatever you choose to discuss, nutrition topics can be related back to health and life insurance solutions.

#2: March is Red Cross Month. Pay tribute to our country’s amazing lifesaving services and programs. You may want to discuss the history in this blog post and relate it to disaster insurance options (earthquake, flood, hurricane, etc.)

#3: St. Patrick’s Day is coming up, meaning a lot of drinking and possibly driving. Keep residents of your area OFF THE ROAD by encouraging drivers to find designated drivers or take cabs. You can blog about possible scenarios and the deadly consequences that will occur if drivers are not careful – not to mention, a higher auto insurance premium.

#4: Recipe blog idea: St. Patrick’s Day desserts and meals. We know you must have at least one good corned beef and cabbage recipe, right? Share it! If not, green mashed potatoes work, too…

#5: March 12^th is Plant a Flower Day. Take this as an opportunity to extend gardening tips to your readers.

#6: On March 20^th, Spring begins! This is a great excuse to write about spring cleaning tips, yard cleaning tips, decorating ideas and more.

#7: March is Workplace Eye Wellness Month. This is a great time to discuss eye safety in the workplace. Check out the OSHA site for more information! Business insurance and workers compensation can be included in these posts.

#8: Spring Break! Many college students will be going away to tropical islands and even different countries for spring break. This may be a good time to blog about traveling tips and even packing tips. Hey, you may even want to throw in a link to your travelers’ insurance product page.

#9: March is National Umbrella Month. Umbrella insurance posts encouraged!

#10: Passover begins on Monday, March 25^th and Easter falls on Sunday, March 31^st this year. These holidays equal great blog posts. Post recipes, family party safety tips, decorating tips, holiday traditions, craft ideas and much more. Get creative with this!
