#1: October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Take this opportunity to support the cause by sharing facts, figures, prevention methods, stories, and more. This could tie in perfectly with a health insurance policy, too.
#2: The first week of October is Customer Service Week. Take a moment to put your OWN agency in the blog post spotlight! We know that you take great pride in your customer service skills, so take this time to showcase them.
#3: Local post alert! Find out where there will be apple picking in your area and write up a post! You can get creative by offering apple-inspired recipes, too.
#4: Halloween is right around the corner! There are plenty of Halloween-inspired posts to write, from the healthiest Halloween snacks to child-proofing your yard for Halloween visitors (liability suit, anyone?) You may even take this post a step further by sharing tips for families who create their OWN haunted homes on their property.
#5: October is Adopt a Shelter Dog Month. Many of your viewers may be considering to celebrate this observance by adopting. This is a great chance to share a few tips with first-time dog owners, and possibly discuss the need for animal liability insurance.
#6: The second week of October is Fire Prevention Week. This is a great topic that could be related to home insurance. You may also want to note that having a fire alarm or other safety devices in a home will result in a discount. Viewers love to hear about savings!
#7: Looking for a fun fall-inspired post? With the changing of the leaves, you may want to get a little creative and share a few fun homemade crafts that can be made—from painted leaves to scarecrow fun.

As summer comes to a close, you may be feeling a little down in the dumps. While we cannot bring the summer back for you, we CAN bring you an editorial calendar to kick off the month of September! There are plenty of interesting blog posts that can be written this month. Are you ready to hear more?
#1: Insurance Post: Remind your clients and readers to put those summer toys away from the season—the right way. Provide tips, tricks, and pointers about insuring them.
#2: Labor Day. Just one last summer celebration! This means one last post about cookout and grilling safety.
#3: National Baby Safety Month. Offer tips for first-time parents or simply…parents! This can be linked to liability issues, too.

#5: It’s National Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month AND National Prostate Cancer Awareness Month. These would both make a great health posts. Be sure to include facts, statistics, prevention methods, and more.
#6: Self Improvement Month. This could be a fun post! There are plenty of ways to improve in areas of life. Whether you choose to take a business or personal approach, this will make a killer blog post.
#7: Insurance Post: Need an auto insurance-related post? The leaves will be turning and falling before you know it. This calls for a safe fall driving post!
#8: September 22nd is Business Women’s Day. Give thanks to all the hard working ladies out there in a post! You may want to even add a personal touch by specifically pointing out the ladies that work for your agency. Give small bios and include a picture for a behind the scenes look!
#9: Looking to appeal to your lady clients? Write up a post about fall home decorating. Tips and tricks will be much appreciated.
#10: Pollution Prevention Week is the third week of September. This year, it falls between the 15th and 21st. Share ways to reduce pollution, whether at home or in the workplace.

#3: The second week of August is National Smile Week! There are plenty of benefits to smiling… health insurance post alert!
#4: Many of your clients may have children going back to college soon. You may want to remind them to check-in on his or her auto insurance. Depending on the situation, he or she may be able to receive a low mileage discount.
#5: It’s Romance Awareness Month! This makes for a great blog post: Prove your love to your loved ones by purchasing a life insurance policy.
#6: August 9th is National Book Lover’s Day. Have each agent in your agency write a quick summary (100 words or less) about their favorite book and why they recommend it! This is fun for the whole office and does not require just ONE writer!
#7: August 21st is Senior Citizen’s Day. Take this time to write a post about senior citizen and retirement savings when it comes to policies (if you offer such discounts.)

#10: As the month of August comes to a close, you may want to offer tips to store away summer toys and gadgets, such as watercrafts, jet skis, motorcycles and more.
